Cannot hear anything during playback
- Try playing a file in Windows Media Player to see if audio playback is working correctly on your system.
- Make sure the volume is not muted. Use the Windows Volume Control accessory or double-click on the speaker icon in the Windows Start bar
tray and make sure the Master and Wave controls are not muted and the
volume is not zero.
- Make sure the correct playback device is selected in GoldWave. Press F11 and choose the Device tab. If more than one device is installed, the one connected to your speakers/headhones must be selected.
- Make sure the Volume fader in GoldWave's Control window is not zero. Use Tools | Control to display the Control window if it is not visible.
- Make sure the correct output mode is selected. Some cards have separate analog and digital outputs. Check the documentation for the sound card
for more information.
