Cannot hear anything during recording
- Windows Vista/7: See "Monitor" in the GoldWave help for information about turning on monitoring in Windows.
- Windows XP/2000: Use the Windows Volume Control accessory to make sure the input you are recording is not muted.
- Some sound devices disconnect or mute output to the speakers while recording to prevent echoes and feedback. Check with the sound card
manufacturer to see if that can be disabled.
- If you have more than one sound device in your system, the speakers may be connected to one device and the recording input may be connected
to a different device. The input and speakers must be connected to
the same device for audio to pass through to your speakers.
- External USB audio devices usually have no audio output connection and no direct connection to the computer's
speakers/headphones.
